It’s in Ukranian - my grandfather was a full Ukrainian Jew, he passed away some time ago. He was one of the two men in my life I trusted completely [the other is my little brother].
This quote serves as a reminder to me that the people you “tame” or establish deep connections to - allowing them to love you, and who trust you entirely - are treated with respect and they become your “responsibility”. For instance, putting them before you and making sure their happiness is a concern of yours.
